My first VAT advice
In 2004. After my university studies, I began my internship as a lawyer in the VAT department of an international tax law firm in Brussels. One of my first experiences was preparing a case for the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg regarding the VAT rate applicable to private film screenings. From the beginning of my professional career, I learned that VAT impact can occur anywhere, even where you least expect it.

Experience
I have advised national and international companies on various VAT matters. Advising clients on structuring their businesses, representing clients to the tax authorities, conducting VAT audits and screenings, organizing VAT training, and complying with VAT rules are part of my daily practice.

VAT specializations
I am particularly interested in commercial real estate transactions but also enjoy working on goods and services transactions in operational business environments.

The reason why I enjoy working at VAT aLined
First and foremost, I find VAT enjoyable because it is a challenge due to the complex and rapidly changing VAT legislation. Finding pragmatic solutions for our clients gives me great satisfaction. This pragmatic approach, combined with the opportunity to work in a highly experienced team and direct contact with our clients, are significant advantages for me. Additionally, the freedom to take initiative, our independent character, and colleagues who are always up for fun make it a perfect workplace for me.
